Complaints Procedure
At Monument Chambers, we aim to provide an excellent service at all times. However, if you have a complaint, we invite you to let us know as soon as possible so we can address your concerns.
How to Complain
You can make a complaint by contacting our clerks in writing at clerks@monumentchambers.com or by telephone at 020 3876 7056. We will acknowledge your complaint promptly and provide you with a copy of our full internal complaints procedure, outlining how your complaint will be investigated and the timeframes involved.
The Legal Ombudsman
If you are unhappy with the outcome of our internal investigation, you have the right to complain to the Legal Ombudsman.
You must complain to the Legal Ombudsman either within six years of your barrister’s actions/failure to act, or no later than three years after you should reasonably have known there were grounds to complain. You must also complain to the Legal Ombudsman within six months of receiving your barrister’s final response to your complaint.
